Foundation Phase
The Foundation Phase at Advanced College Primary is a time of great discovery, development and change. At the end of this phase the children will emerge like “fledglings from the nest” ready to spread their wings for their first time.
Grade 1 is a crucial year in this journey and our children are enthusiastic to learn. This is a year of making it happen, in a more formal learning environment where repetition is key and our passionate teachers ensure they are equipped with all the academic tools they need.
In this phase we work in solidifying the elementary skills for reading, writing and mathematics. Hence learners attend Kumon classes to ensure a strong foundation of skills, and they absolutely LOVE KUMON……..

The Intermediate and Senior Phase
The Intermediate and Senior Phase at Advanced College Primary is a lively environment where learners are encouraged to be curious, creative and our young minds are nurtured.
During this time of their school career the foundations for intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth are laid, empowering our learners to embrace new challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.

Academics
In our Primary School, academic development relies on establishing a solid academic foundation to ensure future learning.
The Intermediate and Senior Phases uses an integrated approach to learning while focusing on the development of essential skills, which are build on, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our passionate teachers aim to meet the needs of all learners through a differentiated instructional approach to meet their varied needs. In the process of learning we highlight Biblical values to enrich our understanding of content and its application in our world today.

Sports
Sport provides an opportunity for learners to express their talents, develops and shapes character, grows confidence and enables collaboration to flourish in the dynamic world of sport.
We teach the learners the discipline to hone their skills and to give of their best trusting that these values will overflow to other areas of their lives.
We encourage participation to discipline the whole child on and off the sports fields.
We offer: Athletics, Swimming, Netball and Soccer.

Culture
Our Culture offering in the Primary School gives learners the opportunity to continue to discover, develop and thrive in their God-given talents and abilities.
Opportunities exist to build character, develop self confidence, cultivate creativity, promote intellectual, social and emotional skills in a safe environment while we honour God in all that we do.
Activities include:
Choir, chess, heritage day, annual concert & spelling bees
